"7ten" Tea Packaging
It is traditional to drink cherry blossom tea with actual blossoms placed in the tea. Relating to that tradition, I included a branch of cherry blossoms into the bottle of tea itself. Since this is a product of Japan origins, my logotype reflects both Asian and non-Asian cultures. Since everything is read in english, I modified a script typeface and used subtle drops of red to relate back to Japan. However, when fully translated, "ten" actually reads "7ten." The english "t" letterform is also a stylized Japanese character that translates to the number "7." The year 710 is roughly the date that people in Japan began to picnic under the blooming cherry blossom trees.
